Aayush

Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) is the most frequently occurring congenital disorder responsible for 28% of all congenital birth diseases.

1.35 Million

Babies are born with CHD each year globally

2 Lakhs

Babies between the ages 0-8 years are born with CHD each year in India

40,000

Babies born with CHD requires surgical intervention in the 1st year of life

Keeping the fact in mind that 20% of the congenital heart patients require medical treatment in the 1st year of their life, certain families, primarily those belonging to the lower strata of the society find it difficult and majority of the times impossible to raise funds for the surgery which mostly comes within the price bracket of 1-5 lakhs.
Lack of financial resources or inability to raise funds to support surgeries for their children, families end up losing their children, or the damage done is beyond repair.
